A very beautiful and exceptional artwork. A jar pitcher also know as Salamanca, that is elaborated by indigenous habitants of the Southern of Peru using techniques that come from the Inca's time The Pitcher depicts traditional geometric figures of the Inca Culture. Includes rows of triangles, squares, and parallel lines. Also includes figures of "The Chakana" or "Inca Cross" The graphic representation of The Chakana is related to the Sun and the Southern Cross. Its pyramidal form with stairs on all four sides represents the union between the sun and the earth, the man and the superior divinity, it is then a ladder towards the highest. Its geometric shape comes as a result of the astronomical observation of the ancient inhabitants. It is a symbol that summarizes the Universe.
