Beautiful tapestry that describes graphically several daily activities including the fishery, the veneration of birds, spiders and pelicans. Also includes some Mochica Culture deities. For the Moche the fishery was not only an everyday activity with the purpose of obtaining food. They believed not only that the food came from the sea, but that their gods also lived there. In illustrations found that were left by the Moche can be seen mythical characters doing fishing in the sea using boats in the form of stylized animals which shows that fishing was linked to their religious beliefs. This tapestry is hand-embroidered with wool, using an alpaca wool blend textile as a surface.
